Sankalp Jyoti is a Bihar (India) based registered not profit organization. It has been registered by I.G. registration, Government of Bihar under Society registration Act 21’1860 in 2004. This organization was formed by a group of social work and development professionals who were inspired by participatory and collective social actions and interventions. They first studied the socio-economic condition of the people followed by the regular interaction with the local office before chalking out need based interventions in the area of operation. The findings of the problems were so acute and intense that they could not be dealt in a shorter period of time without joint efforts. With this realization ‘Sankalp Jyoti’ originated in the year 2004 and was registered under the Society Registration Act.

We have completed two study on road safety with title “Causes of Road Accidents in Patna district” & “Awareness on Traffic Rules & Signs among the Traffic police & commuters in Patna district” of Bihar (India). We have conducted many awareness activities on road safety at schools/colleges in association with Bihar State Disaster Management Authority (BSDMA), Ministry of Road Transport & Highways GoI, Indian Road Safety Campaign. We have also shared the “Charter of Demand for Road Safety” to Govt. of India and Govt. of Bihar. We glad to inform you that many points of our Charter of Demand for road safety have been considered by the central and state govt.

We have also formed an alliance of NGOs/individuals/activists for road safety in Bihar with title name “SAFETY ALLIANCE” and conducting a road safety campaign “YES! I FOLLOW ROAD SAFETY RULES” from 2014.

We have launched a State Level Road Safety Campaign named as “YELLOW RIBBON EXPRESS” in collaboration with Bihar State Disaster Management Authority on 15.08.2021. Under this campaign many activities will be conducted at urban and village level in all the districts of Bihar.
